dinnerbone is best minecraft dev yet. He fixed maps and made them legitimately copyable in 6 hours the other day. Today They did just add portals leaking zombie pigmen into the overworld in 1.3 so this may just be the reverse process and the portals spawning cows on the other end but from "inter-dimensional" and the second tweet it seems hes actually working on allowing non player entities to wander through the portal. (ghasts would be too big thankfully). EDIT: Ability for all mobs to cross portals confirmed. Including blazes, (ghasts too big im still assuming). I hope he looks at letting minecarts cross over too, want a trans-dimensional railway |

There's lots of confusion about this, so here's a little bit of clarification: Mob exp hasn't changed, but xp mob farms have been nerfed. Hooray. The recent xp changes have meant 1 mining expedition is enough to hit max level anyway. This is just further encouragement to not idle in the game. |

not mentioned in that picture is they fixed almost everything notch broke including maps. Although lighting fixes and mod api got delayed to 1.5

I am pumped for it but this is the kindof news that makes me put off playing until it arrives. The only question this time I guess is do we brave prereleases again or just not play and wait for the official update.
