So...hitting somebody twice with a flare gun now does 30 initial damage 60 afterburn damage 90 crit damage for the second hit plus a bit more afterburn, depending on the time between the two hits. (at least 12) For a total of >192 damage. Yikes :O (Numbers from http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Flare_gun)

Only if you can hit someone twice/if they're stupid enough to stick around after you've hit them once though Cruel.
Can't wait to see what they do to the pyro next!
And then undo 3 weeks later...
edit - I do see something leftfield coming for the backburner though.

Yeah, there's gotta be. It's useless as it is.

HP boost was and still is a stupid idea. Ambush classes shouldn't have as much/more health than the straight assault classes.
You can't really lump classes in as Assault or Ambush because they are all so different, I'd argue that the Pyro's range limitation (very short) means he should have more hp than those so called Assault classes operating at medium to long range. I can also throw out that a Soldier/Demo who can explosive jump effectively are much more potent "ambush" classes than Pyro.

Can rockets and pills crit if fired from long distance too? What about huntsman shots?
Seems like an OK buff but I don't know anything about Pyros. Sure Valve knows what they're doing.

Whether or not a shot is a crit is decided before it's shot so how would the distance play a role it? Or do you mean if crit-damage falls of over range? If so, that's a no for both minicrits and crits (for all weapons).

I would imagine in this case, when the shot is fired the magic crit dice are rolled and if nocrit is rolled a normal shot is fired, once it covers the required distance it then becomes a crit. That make sense?

The flare gun crits on people who are on fire at medium to long range. Airblast doesn't affect crits (there was a bug but thats fixed now) so normal shots stay normal, crits stay crits.

Flare gun already checks if the target is on fire before deciding if it's going to mini-crit or not, so taking a distance check as well can't be too hard, since they already do it for damage fall-off.

Even with the update buffs, we are still 10% down on raw flamethrower damage from where we were last month Had a quick go for a few matches tonight, definitely still feeling underpowered.

- Added new community weapons and hats
- Updated CP_Gorge:
- Added nobuilds to the awnings outside BLU's forward spawn to preventing players building up there.
- More clip work and model collision work based on community feedback.
- Fixed BLU forward spawn door appearing through roof.
- Updated PLR_Pipeline:
- Added new stairwell in Stage 1 and window access to both teams’ platforms by main choke point to help alleviate stalemates.
- Reverted the starting position for the cart in Stage 3 if a team had won the first 2 stages to where you no longer get a big cart-start-position advantage.
- Fixed rare cases where stage would break when cart had no nearby capper(s).
- Fixed carts not always moving to their starting locations correctly.
- Fixed respawn times in Stage 3 not being set to the proper values.
- Fixed the map not finishing correctly in Stage 3 if the two teams capture the final point at the same time.
