Ah hah and now my laptop is here (it arrived yesterday) and it is now all set up.
And it is beautiful and sleek and understated and it purrs......quietly
*sigh* So jealous Suffering major geek envy. It's not fair. Work has given me a shiny HP laptop, to use as a tool. It's already got all the manuals and technical bulletins on it. It's an i3 quad core. Nothing for it. I'm defiantly going to have to upgrade now. Also, for a standby week, it's too quiet. There's still two days of standby left though. Me thinks they are trying to lull me into a false sense of security. I'm fairly certain they haven't fitted the tracking devises to the company car yet. I'd like to have thought I'd be capable of spotting a technician messing about around the car.

Bah, up at 6:30 again for work on Saturday. Going to try really hard to get away on time tommorow, so I actually get some downtime.

Yesterday, I had found out that I'm gonna become an uncle for the 8th time. Scratch that. Looks like I'm going to be an uncle for the 8th and 9th time because my sister-in-law is carrying twins!

Really glad the weekend is over tbh. My eldest came home weds from school with a headache. By thursday morning it is clear he has a bug and throws up his breakfast. Hmm i think, change all hand towels and get out antibac hand gel, and generally scrub stuff. By thursday afternoon he is looking better and could really be at school, but they have a 48hr rule if a child vomits. So Friday he is fine, at home and bouncing off the walls. Tea time for kids (we were having take away as it is our anniversary woop) and our daughter takes 2 mouthfulls and throws up all over the table! Joy.
By 11pm it is clear i have it too, chinese is not good in reverse.
2am Dave starts chucking too
4am our 9 month old starts, all over me and our bed.
OMG
Saturday we are meant to be at a family bar b q in southampton. LOL My mum has the eldest and the rest of us sit dozing and feeling like beaton up shit all day. Wea re all finally feeling better but i'd rather never repeat it. I suspect someone elses little darling was ill and they didn 't feel like following the 48hr rule. oh and my dad is over from the USA and he got it too. so that is why i wasn't at frag fest.

This. Happens to me once per year now Charlotte is at school, although public transport could also be to blame. Kids and I get it, but Miranda strangely immune!

Seems to happen to a lot of families once kids start pre-school or primary. We certainly went through a few years of regular bugs like this (Kat* managed to throw-up on my head once.... nice experience ). I think your immune system gets toughened up after a bit, I actually think my daily commute into London is kill or cure! (* For those in WDG in who don't know this is my son, Frankensteinz Kat, ex-NuB, ex cute little boy, now lairy 6' teenager)

Had the dentist today. Was fine till he used the high speed drill with water and tried to drown me Ha me too But my gynaecologist told me I should not have a anaesthetic injection at the moment. The dentist and his assistant asked me 3 times if I'm sure.... To be honest, it wasn't that bad! It is more annoying to sit at home for 5 hours with a numb face (I react really bad on this stuff). And my face and hair were wet afterwards @Hex: Hope you all feel better soon! And that it won't start over again...
