Just back from the Russell Crowe thing.

Apologies to anyone who wanted me to report back that he was an arsehole. He actually seems like quite a nice, down to earth bloke. Questions were screened before he was asked, so I'm afraid no mischief was allowed there.

The film was called "The Men Who Couldn't Finish Things", it was a home movie esque film about a motorbike trip him and some friends took shortly after filming wrapped on Gladiator. Think the Ewan McGregor motorcycle thing except a few years earlier.

Quite a cool experience actually, as this was apparently its first public(ish) showing ever. As in only industry execs, family and friends had seen it before. Which would explain why there are zero Google hits for it.

Oh, also, Bill Bryson was the interviewer.

Ugh, I feel fucking horrible, had to come home early from work I feel so rough. My skin feels like it's crawling, and I'm going from stupidly hot to stupidly cold, throw in aching joints, headache and just a general groggy feeling, you've got yourself a sick cat Sad

And to make things worse, I'm on standby for work, and I know one of the girls isn't gonna show up (she's calling in sick, when everyone knows it's cos her mum is in town so she's going out with her. Problem is I'll need to cover her, then do my shift as well, but I don't think I can, I can't stress how shitty I feel.
But if I don't show, means the team would be 2 people down on a Saturday, so would be fucked =/

Just who is letting the team down.

If you're sick, you're sick and staggering in will do you no favours, your team no favours if they get sick too and your customers may not like being served by Sick Boy.

You need to look after yourself.

(a work colleague of mine struggled into work with a chest infection and ended up getting pleurisy and being off for 4 months, and that was a lesson to me too)
