Well, not a bad day I guess. Finally dug out ye ole USB LCD device and finally got to flash the boot loader. Yay for me getting back into embedded development (this has been gathering dust for what, three years now?). Also I got to write a little for my thesis. And I finally found an awesome pretty-printer for LaTeX. My Productivity rate is about 0.7. Tomorrow I'll wake up and have Portal 2 at my disposal. My productivity is going to plummet to rock bottom.

Spent the day training on the new Magnet PC system (SAP for those in the know) which despite dire predictions of doom from my colleagues actually seems to be quite good. 

It boasts such amazing features (that don't appear on the current software) such as mouse support! a windows based interface!! having the all customers details, date and discount on the same page at the same time!!! a bar code scanner!!!! chip and pin support!!!!!

There was also the advantage of only being 2 (as opposed to 10 - 15) of us on the course so we finished at 3pm instead of 5pm.
