Yeah Im still a bit shy when it comes to 1v1 games. I only did my placement matches and failed epicly, and after that I won 2 by cheesy proxy gateways. Still need to get alot more micro- and macromanagement, my lategame always fails because I have too much stuff to do and I often end up with an overload of minerals/gas because I forget to spend stuff. But I hope that I'll get used to it Smiley

Mmmmmmm not in the original Starcraft,

Workers won't mine automatically, only 8 units allowed in a control group. You had a lot of stuff to do which really if you wanted to do it all, required at LEAST 200apm, like the NaDa says.

Still working on the campaign, on the last mission now.
I've been playing on normal and it's been pretty easy up till now, with no fails or loads, but i've had to restart this final mission about 6 times so far.
I think it would have been a lot easier if I'd taken the siege tank upgrades and the slowing Zerg tower. It's mostly brutalisks that are the issue, when I'm managing another chokepoint and 3-4 apparently arrive at the other to destroy the defence force at that point and rampage through my base.

in that mission, it's all about loading marines into bunkers... Just get like, 8 of them on each side and fill them up with marines.

1 - build a bunker
2 - fill it with marines/marauders
3 - repeat on other side

keep doing that and have 1/2 scvs on each side set to auto repair and you should be fine. Once you have that all setup, you can even go on the offensive

It kinda depends on which mission you did before, but I'm guessing you went ahead and fkd up the air units, meaning you have nidus worms to deal with.. those things unleash a load of pain.. but my plan works for that one.. Don't forget to use mercs too.. they're more expensive but they're great damage dealers/soakers if you get medics/scvs with them to keep their hp topped up

I did the Nidus worm mission so I just had a shit load of flyers. Meant I needed fuck all ground defenses, so I just used a few perdition turrens and bunkers to hold the line, and had a fleet of around 30 vikings + 6 battlecruisers.

Still, got forced up to the platform from about 85% and onwards, had to just literally put everything there and Yamato Cannon spam the queen of blades when she came for the last time

Deployed siege tanks on the platform ftw.
Keep a few banshees to deal witht the nidus worms, activate invis whenever they get attacked (but not all the time, you don't have enough energy for that).
Rocket towers are awesome against flying units, especially if you bought the upgrades.
Like the game says, don't be afraid to use the artefact.
If you killed the flying units, it's IMHO a good idea to put a few marauders in, because marines are weak against the bigger units.

I've never found a good way to deal with the queen. She can see invis units and one-shot a battlecruiser D:

Hmmm, I should get this game somtime, nearly finished Red Alert 3 and the campaign does sound fun (even if multiplayer doesn't, considering we EU peeps can't play with Americans, sigh).

The easiest way to do that mission is to get the zerg mind control tower and use it to take control of all the mutalisks and broodlords that come your way (if you did the nydus canals). Then just have a load of siege tanks for ground + planetary fortress wall off and you're golden. When Kerrigan strolls on by, just send your broodlords and she'll get stuck trying to path around the broodlings so you can snipe her with the mutas comfortably.

Another way to do it is to have a billion marines and medics + medivacs. When kerrigan shows up, take your medic marine ball out, stim and kill her.
