 Wev'e had countless favourite music/song/artist threads, but no-one seems to have devoted one to albums.

 A good albums more than just the one that contains your favourite song as im sure you know, something that's meant something to you, kept you going at times (no enya please) - just more than music.



 Mine's probably Hybrid Theory, first (proper) album I ever bought, got me interested in music completely. The songs wouldn't be considered phenomenal, but it's the album that really kick started the nu-metal scene into the limelight. I can still remember the words to every song off it, absoloute classic.

 So what's your favourite album?

Blimey, well there are many things I wanted to say, Revolver (Beatles), Dark side of the moon (pink Floyd), Generator (Bad Religion), The greatest hits of Gary Numan (joke) but I think I'm going to say:



And not because it's funny to make fun of Junta, because I'm a massive Smiths fan (much to Hzza's delight - I bet he will say Kyuss or Peter Gabriel)

The songwriting of Johnny Marr is incomparable and the depressing lyrics of Morrissey make you laugh, cry and want to dance around fat people. I chose the Queen is dead as it's the first smiths album I bought, and has three of the greatest songs ever written on, including Bigmouth Strikes Again, There is a light that never goes out and Some girls are bigger than others.

favourite album is hard, could be the one i listen to most now or the one i've listened to most overall. i think i would have a total high fidelity moment if i tried to put one down as a certain favourite.



Fantasy Black Channel by Late of The Pier

I picked this one up in january last year and its been the soundtrack to the last 12 months of my life. Nothing i have ever owned has had so much play time in that sort of time frame. There isn't a filler song on the album and its full of so many different styles and influences that even if you're not in the mood for one of the songs then there is something else to listen to.

And to top it all off the band are obscure enough to satisfy my music snob sensibilities.

Tool - Lateralus
Amazing music, amazing lyrics and brilliant musicianship. Nothing is bad about this album.

Jefferson Airplane - Surealistic Pillow
Best album of the 1960's.

Leftover Crack - Mediocre Generica
The album that got me into underground squatter punk.

The Clash - London Calling
Once the Pistols stopped fucking around and Sid had the good grace to kill himself, this album showed the world there was life after punk.

Machine Head - Burn my Eyes
I listened to this album every day for 2 years when I was at school. The best metal album of all time.

I could go on, but I'd be here for days, so I'll leave it at that.
