lol sandman partially still has a use, however I agree, Bonk is 99% useless, it can be useful once in a while, or so i hear i.e. doing the scout rush sentry, others shoot it from behind, however that requires epic teamwork and communication, and more often it doesn't work. The only other time I've seen it used is in comp play on gravelpit.
The attacking scouts will run out of the gates using bonk, so if a demo has stickied it, it won't kill the whole team

But I agree, they might as well replace them they're so utterly useless

Nobody has picked up on the no random damage spread for shotguns cvar. Most likely only be used in comp play, but from what I have seen tonight so far its quite a big scout buff (as if they needed to be any better).

Basically means the shotgun pellets go in a tight square, instead of randomly spurted out. Not much difference at point blank but mid range meatshots are much easier now imo.

there was a soldier un-nerf weirdly, can rage again while using closets, I guess because it was unfair on teams stuck in spawns, being raged from outside and unable to build their own rage.

I look forward to activating a hit detection noise. And I am perplexed about the lack of soldier demo nerf. Has there been nothing?

Idk I find the greatest use for bonk is on pub (or screwing with sentries, though that rarely works).

 Pyro sets you alight, run off, procc bonk, run back as much as you can to safety, by that time the effects usually gone.

 + Do none of you know about the movement bug to get rid of the speed decrease? :>

In pub play, DR pisses me off, this is quite a hefty nerf for it

 It's more than a hefty nerf, it's taken away the entire playstyle of the damn weapon. Reason why it was so awesome was that you could go from ammo to ammo without dying / taking too much damage. Even if someone was chasing you, after about 3 ammo they either assumed you were now dead / they gave up, leaving you to inflict some sharp love from behind with your disco stick.

 Now the sounds the same, you decloak - entire team turns around and ganks you while you desperately run away waiting for it to refill. I'll admit this would'nt have been such a massive nerf WERE the sound to have actually been reduced / automatic cloak recharge was improved.

 But it's more than a nerf, it's a sandman crippling.

Fairly sure that was patched out a couple of updates ago, when they changed the first-person/thrid person glitch.

the fixed spread is awful, there's a comparison somewhere and I can't find it, but it's probably possible for Scouts to do 80-90 damage from mid-range.

ie. 2shot kills from between the badlands trains.

 Pretty sure iv'e been doing it for a while, could be mistaken though, im not a heavy scout user anymore

But seeing as its a change made almost definitely for the competitive community, beau will have to worry about it I might aswell bind my shotgun to the primary weapon slot and relegate the rocket launcher to secondary, still can't believe they buffed the scout...

FU, we got lumped with shitty unlocks for our update, this is like Christmas for us!

Heck yeah, Scout is the only post-update class that I'm playing with a completely vanilla setup. The unlocks were horrible.
