p35 is 2 x16 slots but with crossfire it slows down to 2 x8 slots
If you want crossfire with full speed you need x38/x48/x58 (and I believe p55)
Ta for that Will double check what it is tonight .... Could end up, upgrading whole PC lol

just had my student loan come in, pretty tempted myself. Going to wait for 5850 to drop below £200 again though.
Will prob be getting an SSD for my laptop first as well.

hmm, dabs have some asus radeons coming in in 5-7 days, at very good prices. 5870=£292, 5850=£206
3 year warranty + steam code for Dirt2. Asus cards have higher BIOS overclock limits too so you don't need to invalidate the warranty by flashing them.
And if you use quidco you get 5% cashback.
very tempted now,

EDIT... Most games havent got past DX9 yet anyway So why go for DX11? My systems nearly a year old and can still handle current gen games with ease, seems like a bit of a waste of money for just a bit of epeen IMO.

Had to buy a GFX cuz mine 'is bost' DX11 is not why I bought it.... I last bought my graphics card when the more x's in the name the better, i.e. the top of the pile was the "XFX 8800 GTX XXX" (hence i bought the ultra which was deemed better). I've just applied the same logic... more X's = Better
