That explains why I got HL2 last time i crafted. The prizes this time were kinda terrible mainly because of the lack of control, picking your prizes in the summer meant you could decide exactly what you wanted and how much you were willing to do for it, and the lack of totally worthless prizes.

to be fair I didnt buy a single challenge-related game and I only did the free challenges (except for TF2, CSS and Day of Defeat) and I got some cool stuff, the highlight being a copy of Napoleon Total War. Friends of mine got Dota 2, Polynomial, F1 2011, someone even got Dead Island. It was definitely better than going for a stupid TF2 hat that noone cares about anymore.

Also about the tons of DLC and which to get (since some people asked me already): New Heroes is worth it aswell as maybe the Halloween costumes (I like em), The eternia shards DLC is primarily highlevelcontent, so level up your character first and then decide if you still wanna play it but for someone that just started the game you dont need it. Dont get the mission packs, you can actually still join those lobbies and do those maps, you just cant host a lobby yourself if you dont have it.
