1st, I re-played the final and only lost one team member (Jack). No matter what I do, she gets killed

2nd, Inform the clan I've finally made it with an alien woman! Tali... oh err.... my Mass Effect 2 career is over!

2nd, Inform the clan I've finally made it with an alien woman! Tali... oh err.... my Mass Effect 2 career is over!

Also, what role are you giving Jack on the suicide mission? I think the only one she can do is the biotic bubble thing; anything else and she'll get whacked...I think to get everyone out alive I had Leigon (I think you can also send Tali) in the vent, Garus (you can also use Jacob or Miranda here I think) as squad leader both times, Samara (can use Jack I think) for the biotic bubble and sent Mordin (can send anyone, but Mordin is quite likely to die in the last stand battle thing) back to escort the others. Then Miranda and Tali with me to fight the final boss.

Anyone heard anything about when this Shadow Broker DLC is released? I'd quite like to get back into ME2 again, maybe do a female playthrough this time .

According to the Mass Effect 2 wiki, you haven't upgraded the ship's heavy shielding. Jack will die regardless of what you do.

Was Jack loyal to you when you started the last mission? If not, theres a high chance that she will die at some point (even if you decide not to assign her to any task, she may die at the ''holding the line'' part of the final mission). I'm guessing you sided with Miranda in the argument on the ship and didn't have enough renegade / paragon points to settle the disagreement?

Either way, you should be happy she died. I couldn't get rid of her and I certainly wouldn't miss her in Mass Effect 3. At this point, I really wish I had manual control of the airlocks in the engineering bay.

I ended up sexing her (Jack) in my last playthough. She like it rough. Also because she doesn't want a relationship you can go sex someone else too. Win win for Bastard Shepard (my renegade char)

I started playing it last night, I thought the intro, while reasonably epic at the beginning, lacked a bit of zing. I hate the fact there is actually a character called "Illusive Man". When I had the subtitles on at the start and that came up I thought it just meant he was a character who we don't know the name of yet, but then Jacob just comes out and says "Illusive Man"...

Levelling system and items seem better than the first game, which was pretty much a loot-a-thon.

That's why you shorten the illusive man to TIM

And yes, they could have handled him waaay better, by making him a mysterious guy in part one so you can go all oh-goody I'm gonna see him! in part two.

But really, that's the least of ME2's story-problem:
