As long as you dont play with me or other Level 30ers or people who are above you levelwise (it also looks for the amount of won games), you will always only get people on your level, so unless youre level 20 (which equals runes are viable now), you'll never really have people with stats advantages against you. Its a cool system and works alot better than in other free2playgames (I think I can speak for everyone that APB got boring really fast because you will always play against people with premium weapons that deal more damage than yours)

Think of the rune- and masterything as building a Magic-deck. Its not really giving you OP stats, its just a decision you make in which direction you want to play your character. It only mostly affects the early game until 10 minutes in anyway, for example you can get around 40 Ability Power (enhances your uhm well you know) from a good Runeset but theres items with +45 AP that you farm in 2 minutes if youre good. So its not like having super premium powers.

I think I can speak for everyone that APB got boring really fast because you will always play against people with premium weapons that deal more damage than yours

As someone working up through matchmaking at the moment I've never come across anyone being particularly overpowered in the early game- you'll lose far harder against someone bringing a bit of skill over a handful of runes.

Loving dominion atm, I've been playing a lot of junglers lately and it's helping my ganking quite a bit I think

I'm not a huge fan of laning in solo queue anyways cuz your lane partner is always a pain (even if they're playing support) I just like last hitting and getting farm

The first 15 mins you're supposed to worry about getting items for the mid/late game
I see a lot of idiots with 15 minion kills after the first 20 mins.. that's really bad as you should be aiming for around 100 in 15 mins

HoN isn't just farm for 15 minutes, you have ganks at lvl 6 straight away and even before that with a rune, I played lol though and I didn't get ganked nor did I gank people, the heal spell, ghost spells made it really easy to escape. Some heroes/champions will bloom early and some don't generally farm at all such as the support. Nevertheless farming is still boring

yea, you can get early bloodlusts but the point is to get yourself ahead and put them behind. That's what ganks do, and the junglers in LoL are great for that since you don't have denies.. I'll conceed that HoN is the better mechanical game but it is about farming for the first 15 mins. more gold = better items = better champ/hero in the mid and late game.

if I last hit every minion in the lane for 15 mins I'll need around 20 kills to get the same amount of gold.. that's crazy

A good ratio is 150 creeps by 20-25 minutes, If I get a good lane when I play AD carry (MF <3), I have around 175-200 by that time, which equals around 220 AD from full AD builds. If you get the metagame rolling (meaning an actual good toplaner like Garen) everyone should have that farm, even the mid, theres no excuse. Jungle gets a freebie, Support will get a /ignore when he exceeds the 30

Trust me rct, heal disappears completely later on, its all about Flash and Ignite/Smite/Teleport/Exhaust. Heal is a good beginners choice for 1v1, but becomes useless when the enemy jungler knows how to gank. Also when having an actual good jungler, you can expect first attempts after the jungle has been cleared 2 times (at lvl 4).

Flash can be frustrating sometimes, but it does actually take some strategy to use effectively, unlike Heal.

It's particularly annoying when you're at level 11 and EVERYONE ELSE IS USING IT AND YOU CAN'T.

Exhaust is secretly what it's all about though, stack it with a Randuin's Omen and possibly your own slow and no one ever escapes.

Real pain flash right? but, wait, it has a massive cooldown - makes for some extra thinking when it comes to tracking their spell usage. The best thing about it is while it is a great defensive tool it's also offensive tool, which is why it's taken so often, but you might find if you get better at the game you actually want to put other things in it's place for a larger advantage elsewhere; if you never need to flash out or in, or have a similar ability to do so, it becomes even more redundant.

I like that there are ways to escape (or even attack; if they flash did you know you can also use yours? and if you are zoning them all the way to their tower so they can flash back to it they get really no XP or gold if you properly time minion kills?), makes it much more satisfying to get kills, you rely a lot more on your skills and placement not just finding an enemy over extending by the minutest amount away from towers I guess.

Summoner Spell changes for Season Two

TLDR Version:

Flash is getting nerfed in range and cooldown - a big smack in the face for sololanes. I dont really know if it was that necessary tbh, over the last year they brought out enough champions based around countering flash, this is gonna make them really strong. Its also a huge buff for junglers to gank mid and solotop, we'll see...

CV nerved in duration and CD - That is alright. CV was too necessary for supports, now with buffed Heal and Clarity they have more viable alternatives.

Heal now scales more into lategame - That was needed.

Rally and Fortify gone - Whatever, I wont miss em. Rally was so useless since they removed the healaura on it.

Promote back in Summoners Rift - YES!

New spell "Surge" - Works like Rally except that you dont need to place down anything, its an aura around your champion. Will need to see how that turns out, but this sounds like a good alternative to Taric
