No, it doesn't open... Even the "Internet Explorer Options" have all the parts related to the browser front end (eg: addons) removed, making it look pretty sparse! It saved a bit of space, although I think the media player, dvd creation and other bits and bobs I'd not use (or if I do I'll reinstall) save more space, which is good for an SSD.
Good how you can get it so there is no browser to open links. Confuses the hell out of windows

(but only as much as say, not having Open Office to open ODT files).
