Also, really not liking the multiplayer - takes ages to level up and I just get owned by fucking everything. Makes me Q_Q. Sticking with it as I'm sure it'll get to a point where I get all the unlocks everyones owning me with and then I can start owning back, but until then, half hour bursts of dying repeatedly are all I can tolerate.

We all get your pain though, there really is very little balance going on imo, but as soon as you get some new lewts it gets better.

I think it's not quite as simple as they'll get round to it. They seem to have some intractable problems to do with servers and the cetera.

I personally think I would enjoy this mode more than the MP as it stands but who knows.

Firstly omg its brahms. Did you not get mobile internet dude? Some of the deals are pretty cheap for a temporary solution like £20 or something which is pretty reasonable.

And yes if I must put serious hat on, its because as a new mode they know everyone will want to play it. All the pc servers are dedis out of their control so hundreds of servers will switch to the new mode, losing 28 slots per server. So overnight the pc server capacity will shrink massively, and that would cause no end of problems. I assume the may try a localhost approach as it is only a 4 player mode but they need to get a lobby system in place for pc. And you know if the server broswer is anything to go by its going to be awful.

Did you not see further down that thread that you posted? It said they won't be doing local-hosting because of security reasons.

I did not read further down, bizarre. I mean its understandable that public localhost does indeed suck. But given this mode is meant to be played with people you know, seems bizarre to rule it out.

This, although they'll no doubt come up with some crazy reason why they can't do that.
