Millicent Bystander
Turn 1
Well, here we have it, quite a promising starting location, almost as if it was designed that way

. There is Silk and Wine to the East, Cows to the West and a body of water which may or may not lead to the sea in the South. We have a river running North to South and a village on our East borders.
Our first city Bystandantine I put to work training a Warrior and researching Mysticism to 1. get a religion as soon as possible and 2. get Stonehenge. I send the Warrior SW to explore.

Turn 2
Warrior wandering, spys village
Turn 3
Warrior wanders into a very well built village, turns out they have the secret of Masonry. Woohoo

, what a start.
Turn 4
Warrior wanders West, finds the sea, has a paddle.
Turn 5
Warrior finds Stone on a peninsular SW of the capital, looks like this would make an ideal location for my second town.
Turn 6
Bystandantine expands and the village on our borders is so awed by our culture they give us 104 gold.
Turn 7
Warrior wandering North up the coast
Turn 8
We discover the secrets of Mysticism, apparently we can now move blocks of stone the size of a truck and place them in aesthetically pleasing arrangement. We start researching Polytheism so we can become Hindus
Turn 9
We produce a warrior and send him wandering East, Bystandantine is now size 2 and I get it building a Settler to settle by the Stone resource.
Turn 10
Warrior 1 wanders into another village and is given Agriculture

. Nice.
Turn 11
Warrior 2 finds Marble in his eastward wanderings
Turn 12
Warror 2 turns South to avoid lions
Turn 13
Warrior 1 attacked by panther, gets panther skin underwear.
Turn 14
Buddhism founded in a distant land, lucky we went for Polytheism instead of Meditation (the AI usually goes for Med before Poly). Warrior 1 healing.
Turn 15
Warrior 2 finds gold south of the capital. The continent seems to stretch a long way North, South and East.
Turn 16
Polytheism discovered, the English choose Hinduism as their state religion. Now we are researching Bronze Working to get big scary axes and to enslave the population.
Turn 17
Warrior 1 hits a village and is given a scout, warrior 2 hits and village and gets a map. Warrior 1 must have special diplomatic skills, so far it’s got us 2 Technologys and a Scout.
Turn 18
Scout attacked by Panthers, survives and gets new pants.
Turn 19
Warrior 1 finds three elephant tiles a way north in a dense jungle and meets a fellow warrior, turns out to be the Chinese lead by Mao. We agree not to kill each other today. No sign of their city.
Turn 20
Warriors Wandering
Turn 21
Warriors wandering, Scout scouting South
Turn 22
Scout scouts a village, gets experience which I put into woodcraft 1 & 2. We meet an American warrior and we are nice to each other.
Turn 23
Warrior 2 gets attacked and promoted which I put in woodcraft 1
Turn 24
Bystandantine finishes Settler, starts building Stonehenge, due in 38 turns, send Settler Southwest to settle by the stone. Scout finds a village who gives us Hunting

. Holy Hindu Crap! That’s 3 Technologies we have got from huts in under 25 turns. This is a first play of this map, honest.
Turn 25
Warrior 1 Wandering, Scout scouting.
Turn 26
Settler settles Milliville, starts building Worker. tadaaaa we have a second city.
Turn 27
Warrior 1 Wandering, Scout scouting.
Turn 28
Warrior 1 Wandering, Scout scouting.
Turn 29
We discover Bronze Working, change civic to Slavery, we can now kill off citizens through overwork to get stuff made quicker. We find a source of Bronze a couple of squares away from Milliville. Warrior 2 is finally healed. Research starts on the Wheel.
Turn 30
Scout walks into an ambush and is whacked by 3 warriors. we kill 1 but it's RIP scout

. I hope this isn't the start of barbarian incursions as both our cities are totally undefended.
So that’s my turn up, here’s how our great empire looks, exciting isn’t it?

And here are my suggestions for future cities. I recommend we research Archery next and build archers in our cities.

I've found playing this way really makes me think about exactly what I am doing and making notes starts to get boring at about 22 turns.
If anyone was wondering about how to take screenshots I pressed the PRT SCR button, pasted into Paint and saved as a JPEG.
So who wants to go next?
