the question is 'do we have enough community to maintain 2 full servers', and the answer is probably 'no'.
I think this answer might be premature.
Yesterday we had trouble to fill server 1.
Some days ago we had 44 players on both servers and some fluctuation. And you don't even know how many people might try and don't get in.
People stick around because they like playing *together*. We've tried to divide things up before and I don't think it's worked very well, we just ended up with vaguely unsatisfactory games on two servers.
If I'm not mistaken we've tried *once* to have FF being on both servers (and yes, that was not very satisfactory) and I think one other time where it happened more or less accidently.
The stats geek in me finds the idea of combining two servers into one ranking horrible(!). Stats on #2 as well might bring in more people, but personally I feel it's a bit premature. Disclaimer : I don't care about my stats anyway.
You may not care about your stats, but I think other people do. And playing on #2 instead of #1 means no points for the stats, so this might keep them from playing there.
Don't get me wrong: I don't suggest that because I think stats are a great thing; I'm just examining people's motivation: To join, or not to join, that is the question ...

and this
By now I thought we had more than 26 people who like to play with each other (and more being not just 2 or 3). At least it appears to me that way, and the fact that almost every evening #1 is full does at least not disprove me.
But perhaps I should take the hint and shut up now.
