You will all have noticed our article on the front page of the forum. Our policy regarding halos (as is self evident since the last Valve update):

1) We don't care if people have a halo or not
2) Players are free to wear whatever headgear they have
3) We won't tolerate bitching about halos (by this I mean adverse behaviour in relation to halos - i.e. griefing, abuse etc). The usual WDG banter is fine!
4) Anyone overtly stating something like "only heals halos" will be asked to change name
5) Any medics blatantly refusing to heal team mates will be kicked as necessary (in relation to people having / not having a halo)

We simply don't want the halo to impact our server play and the way people conduct themselves as part of a team. Sadly we've already seen a few idiots on the server in relation to this issue.

Have to say I haven't noticed anyone being douchy about halos, probably a matter of time though knowing some elements of the TF2 community (not this one though ). Nice to have an official stance though.

Same as Hzza, i've not seen any tardyness slip into our server yet, long may it continue!

What about the song Halo by Beyonce? Is singing it in Voice or typing excerpts of its lyrics in text chat considered a bannable offence? I mean I want to really be sure everything halo-related is covered.

I have had to kick someone...the other night someone was wearing a "(only heals halos)" tag whilst playing medic. I politely asked him to remove the tag and play properly but he plainly refused so I kicked him.

No one reads the forum before playing on the server and getting banned, it's always the other way around

I think Teatime has summarised this whole fiasco pretty well in his recent article. I wouldn't mind if these halos actually had a significant impact on gameplay (or, for that matter, actually looked any good). It is a shame that much of the TF2 community has over reacted once again.
