We had this discussion before.
If people are willing I would like to put it to test sometimes, by having a decent sized team (min 6, preferably 7 or 8 ) of good soldiers compete against an equally sized team of a mix of all other classes except soldier (of course those people should be equally good at their respective classes).
I would really like to see how this goes ...
Would anybody be up for this?

I dunno if the soldiers should get a medic. Purely for scientific reasons. Maybe giving them the same amount of medics as the assorted team would be fair?

Keep the friendly simple at the moment - we can do another locked session for the soldier experiment. If you want to be scientific, you need to gauge effectiveness and longevity of BOTH teams without a medic. I personally find that 2 soldiers acting in concert are superb. They take down SG's etc and the firepower against a heavy is just mean (at range too). That's where other classes come in, sniper, spy, pyro and demo. These classes can be very effective at breaking up groups - so that damage can be inflicted etc. I am *extremely* interested in this - I'll play against the soldiers as a heavy (will be good practice for me if nothing else!) |

I'd like to join too! If I'm welcome ^^ Preferably being part of the soldier team, but I don't mind playing on the other team if more people want to go solly  Edit: Surely both teams should either have a medic or have no medic? On this principle maybe an arena map could be used? |
