...Nerdy jokes aside, I must admit this looks promising. Can't beat a bit of Star Wars! Dibs on the dark side too, if the choice is presented. Sure, it may be evil, but who can argue with such dashing style?

i predict that the dark side forces will totally outnumber those of the good guys for one simple reason. Something i am now calling the dark side theory; where in any game, when presented with the choice of playing for the good guys or the bad guys a player will almost certainly play for the bad guys.

Star wars? everyone always plays sith
WW2? everyone always plays nazis
C&C? nod

its always the same, even in any RTS game that gives you some sort of moral choices anyone i know usually chooses to be the most badass mofo around, kicking dogs and stealing candy from babies.

therefore, the bad guys will win, not through strategy but through sheer weight of numbers, sort of like the stormtroopers.

Not so much a de-railment, more of a changing the points on the track kinda thing...

Depending on your deffinition of "a good bit", yes you could edit crazy with the prequil films. Whip out the sissors and cut out the annoying kid from episode one. Hang on, how could I forget? Oh yes, theropy. CUT OUT AND BURN ALL JAR-JAR SODDING BINKS. No! Wait. Obi Wan senses that Jar-Jar is a twat and cuts him down on site, thus saving a lot of time. Ditch pod race, just reiece it straight on to the gaming market. Mitaclorin what? Slap Lucal, adit, ditch into bin. Mind wipe any whitnesses. Never mention it again. Now you should have a film along the lines of Jedi turn up, Jedi smuggle down on to planet. Do a runner with royalty. Oh the all seeing and almighty jedi didn't realise the servant was the real deal. Get back to ocupide planet. Cue space battle (Loose kid). Wind up for epic saber dule of two Jedi Vs Double ended sith fella. This should come in at under 10 mins.

Episode 2, well Anakin is a bit of a winey teenager, so fits the part well. But cellabert teenagers with powers? How can that not end in trouble? Moving on, abnormaly long necked cloners? A tad freeky. Not so much trimming needed. Keep opening chase seen of assasin run. Obi Wan has a little moment with Jango, keep that. Padama in tight white number, deffinatly keep that Smiley Cue mass Jedi vs flappy bug buggers scrap. Introduce army of clones. Mass explosions. Wind up for Jedi Vs Sith. Late minuet subsitution for Epic Yoda number. All kinds of good Cheesy Much longer than 10 minuets I'd think.

Episode 3. Strong opener with space craft battle. Pritty naff landing. Some one chopped of Duku's head. Grevus is a bit of a sod, but interesting roll reversal as Obi Wan breaks out the blaster and shoot him [PS. Han shot first - Don't let anyone ever tell you different] Jedi get betrayed, Yoda gets a shoeing from Evil Emporer. Obi Wan spanks Anakin for being a twat. Padawan popps two sprogs and then shuffels of the mortal coil. Cue the creation of Vader!

Right, I'm off to sit in a darkened room and jibber for a while.....
