http://store.steampowered.com/news/3924/they fixed survivorbots OMG :O also nade launcher does more damage to the idiot using it to discourage people who cant aim at anything but their team from using it. also the infected can now trigger car alarms in versus modes by making a survivor touch the car

Wow, for a team based game it is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard.
Worse might be any dead survivors joining the zombie side, since that's just bastardish, but that is sure close.
Missed the chainsaws actually, damn, oh well!

Having to shoot your allies! The new mutation is "only one person can get to the end car". No idea if you have to fight until only one is left or just run and leave the others behind but...ouch. I mean, you fight through all these zombies over 3-5 levels then run to get on the transport first to win?  All I'm glad of is it is a test for them and optional - I'd hate for other team-killing gameplay elements get added somehow to the core game.

I guess it could be sort of cool actually... Seeing as it's only gonna really become relevant in the very last moments of dead center. Could get psychological.
Not playing it with Disco though, he's already enough of a lone wolf, no need to encourage him.

I played some rounds and it always resulted in everyone throwing molotovs in my way so I cant reach the rescuepoint. Then decided to never try to reach it again and just annoy everyone else. Thats where this mode started to get really funny.

New blog update, mainly talking about the new patch:
Addons Client's custom HUDs will be reloaded when changing between Official and Non-official servers.
GamePlay Bullets that first pass through an infected character before striking a Survivor are now ignored as friendly fire. Fix for survivors speaking The Passing Finale lines in other campaigns.
Versus Charger now receives 300 points for any Survivor that is insta-killed. Charger now receives 100 points for any Survivor that is insta-incapped by a charge. Any infected that causes a Survivor to stumble into a "ledge hang" situation will receive 50 points.
Tank Tanks go into a stasis when they spawn and leave stasis when the human player takes over. Tanks in stasis are invisible but still show a glow to the infected team. Tanks do not attack when they are in stasis. Tanks in stasis cannot be set on fire or damaged.
SDK Tools Fixed crash whenever a VMT was loaded in L4D2 tools mode.

I dunno, had some good games recently with Barry, Larry and Ams. I really enjoy co-op mode but for some very big reason I find versus a chore! Maybe because you lot are so hard to play against!

Yeah, I remain up for a game, provided I have the hour and a half to spare. It's good fun provided:
Not playing VS Not playing on the hardest difficulty People have mics
Scavenger mode is pretty OK too, if there isn't an hour and a half to spare. Though perhaps it's now filled with hardcore clanstackers, which would make it less fun, maybe.
