My Sky planner is full of:

English TV - QI, Top Gear, the rest is just rubbish.
US TV- Reaper, Dexter, Heroes, Generation Kill, CSI (original), Bones, A Town Called Eureka, 3rd Rock from the sun.

Not much other than them apart from films which I probably watch more than TV.

Oh, and the last thing on my planner: Charlie and Lola but not for me..honest!

We never got to watch television because the screen was facing the the other way so that the heat from the valves would warm our hands . Once they stopped selling replacement valves, my mother had to resort to eating  extra strong mints and we would all sit round her tongue to keep warm. Happy days Smiley

Just to name a few favourites:
Lost (which may still fall apart depending on the ending)
Firefly
Six Feet Under
House MD
Boston Legal
Babylon 5
Dead like me
Dexter
Due South
South Park
Tales of the Crypt
(Lots of more stuff I have seen, incl. Star Trek, Stargate, X-Files)

Not much of a fan of sitcoms. One single, perhaps weird, exception is "Home Improvements". Call it a guilty pleasure.

24 is basically good stuff. Fist season was a bit clumsy but they got better with the following seasons. But season 5 and 6 pretty much showed that they ran out of ideas. The plottwists and devices have become all too familiar. Enjoyable to watch, but no longer exciting.
We will see how Season 7 turns out.

Similarly Prison Break was great in it's 1st season, but the 2nd was much weaker. I could imagine that the 3rd will go back to the strengths of season 1 and will be better again.
