Right so keyboards...
what are you using?
do you like it/why/why not???
does it cost a lot?
does it have good bang per buck??
the usual stuff..
Ill kick things off with telling you my thoughts on my gaming keyboards....
1 The Razer LycosaI love the Lycosa. Its been my primary board for quite a while and I imagine it will stay that way for a while more
Very expensive but I think you get loads for your money with it... 1000hz polling, every key can be a macro, the full fucntion razer drivers, low profile extra responsive keys, rubberised grippy keys and it looks very nice on your desk!
I would (and have) recomend this board to anyone and Im sure youll be happy with it!
2. Razer TerrantulaAnother great board from Razer.. Has loads of features just like the Lycosa, but this one has 10 dedicated macro keys instead of being fully customisable..
Again its very expensive and I think its a bit less value for moeny than the Lycosa but still a great board..
It has a "battledock" where you can add a blue light (the keys arent backlit so if you play in the dark youll need it) which is an optional (expensive) extra.
They keys arent rubberised but its still a good alternative to the more popular Logitech G15..
I would take the lycosa over the terrantula any time but its still a great, responsive board
another thing I should note is that it comes with onboard memory, meaning you can store your macros on the board, not the pc, so itll work on any pc once you set it up

3. Logitech G15 rev.2After having a Rev.1 for a while I decided to sell it and get a Rev.2.
Logitech have done very well to create a great board. Its epic value for money
You get a nice little screen that has a million plugins so you can have it display almost anything you want (I have it showing temps and WMP)
the keys arent nearly as responsive as the razer and theyr massive in comparison. It also doesnt have the 1000Hz Polling rate that the razers do either which makes it less responsive!
still a good board... overloaded with features but i think its ugly and doesnt feel very nice to play with..
Watch out for the new G19 board thats out very soon IRRC... could change my mind about logitech gaming keyboards

4. Belkin n52te speedpadNot really a keyboard, more of a left hand control unit (replaces the keyboard for gaming)
I use this pretty much all the time as it means all the keys I need are right at every finger.. 14 main keyboard keys, a scroll wheel and a couple of nice buttons and a dpad for your thumb
It did take a long time to get used to it... at least 4/6 hours gaming but once I did I found everything to be so much more accessable in games..
I can draw weapons faster, Move more easily, duck quickly and even have all the keys do macros

I love this thing and very rarely deviate from it in FPS games like TF2 ect
Another thing I would recomend.. itll change the way you play for the better and youll have more fun dong it!
again, its quite expensive but you deffo get your moneys worth if you like it! but its not for everyone.
Some other boards I have used..
Seitek Eclipse II
Very nice board.. good value for money, very well built and can light up 3 different colours.. No macro support, keys are a bit clunky and its MASSIVE! but still not as big as the terrantula and G15 which are MONSTERS!
Generic Dell board
Massive keys.. feels just like my amiga

I still use it on my server and its never let me down... Im sure itll last a lifetime and its always handy to have it aboout as a backup
Logitech diNovo Cordless Desktop for Notebooks
Great little space saver but no good for gaming.. If your gaming these days it has to be wired!
Its a nice keyboard but its not that responsive...
the plus sides are that the numpad is seperate to the main board and can be used as a seperate calculator with a nice big screen on it. they keys feel just like laptop keys which is great if you like them! Very exspensive and not really great value as you can get more for your money if you dont mind the all in 1 unit (rather than the detached numpad)
Ok so these are the boards that I have played with... Most of them are awsome although I dont like the G15 compared to the Razers TBH
Remember... these are opinions... smite away if you must!
Also I have started writing more in depth reviews which will be up on my blog soon... Ill let you know when its ready
