i've got no problem with them beating up the guy, but they could at least be honest and just put we beat the shit out of him in the report. No need to be coy you can just about cover all that under self defence considering he stabbed one of them first and as marines that just the damage they'd do defending themselves.

lol you can only use a 'reasonable' amount of force to prevent injury if you want to argue self defense. Any combat training etc is also taken into account and held against the person(s) relying on that defense.
