I have a Beko CRT 30" Widesceen I paid a work colleague £35 for.  Bought it as an emergency purchase and still have it after 2 years.  It has the clearest picture I have ever seen on any TV ever, the sound is buggered but I have a surround sound setup so that doesn't really matter.
