Seeing as none of you (appear to) use scripts, here are my scripts for TF2 should you be interested.  They come with idiot proof guide on install and use Smiley

Below is an overview of what they do (enjoy):-

The latest update for my scripts.

Not much changed apart from they have been reworked to allow for Pyros new use of alternate fire (the air gun).

The 2 versions (my personal settings, and default controls, are now both packaged into one download with the readme updated to reflect)

Full Feature List:-

Default Keys Overview
-------------------------------
The modifications are as follows:-

Sets your in game options to optimal settings such as view to widescreen, minimal hud, quick weapon select, medic heal ray lock etc.

When you change class it will anounce the change to your team (team say).  This is done automatically so you dont have to press any buttons.  Simply change class as normal and by the time your back from class selection screen you will have already announced your new class selection.

"E" - Call for medic, now calls for medic twice with 1 button press.  Which means your calling for medic longer without having to spam, and also if your team mates know your script it will help with spy detection as you will always call for medic twice with the same time frame.

"SPACE" - Jump now does a crouch jump.  This means it's easier to jump to the higher places, and easier to do manual rocket/sticky jumps.

"V" - This is your standard in game push to talk but it will now mute your speakers while your talking.  Meaning people can hear you more clearly if your in the midst of rockets and grenades etc.

"F5" - This screenshot button now saves as JPG files as default rather than tga. It also briefly displays a message at the top of the screen to acknowledge the screenshot was took successfully.

The additions are as follows:-

"F1" to "F4" - are now quick say commands i.e. Hi Everyone, Nice shot, LOL, and GG Cya.

"F6" - Will start to record a demo, and display confirmation at top of the screen.

"F7" - will stop the current demo from recording, and display confirmation at the top of the screen.

"F8" - will open the demo player to easily play back your demos

"F12" - will change your game name as per configs, and cycle between 3 pre set names.

"SHIFT" - will mute your game while its pressed, if you map your TeamSpeak key to this also you will have the mute game and chat in TS version of "V"

"H" - Will call to 'activate uber'

"J" - will call to say 'uber is ready' and team say it also.

"O" - will open the admin menu (if you have access to it)

"MOUSE5" - is set to quick melee i.e. press and hold it to change to melee weapon, and start swinging.  It will change back to your previous weapon upon release.  (MOUSE5 is a side button on my G9)

 


Class Specific Features
----------------------------------
The controls below are all the scripted commands available and their keys as set in  the EGG install. (DEFAULT install does not bind them all)

scout:-
"MOUSE5" Will quick swap to bat, and will start swinging on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE1" Will quick swap to scattergun, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE2" Will quick swap to handgun, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold

soldier:-
"MOUSE5" Will quick swap to spade, and will start swinging on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE1" Will quick swap to rocket, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE2" Will quick swap to shotgun, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE4" if you have rocket selected and are looking down this will perform a maximum height rocket jump

pyro:-
"MOUSE5" Will quick swap to axe, and will start swinging on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE1" Will quick swap to flamer, and will start burning on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE2" Will quick swap to shotgun, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold

demoman:-
"MOUSE4" lay a sticky bomb on the floor, run over it and press this to perform max sticky jump

heavyweapons:-
"MOUSE2" Will quickswap to minigun and start spinning, pressing again will stop it spinning
"MOUSE5" Will quick swap to shotgun, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE4" Will quick swap to fists, and will start swinging on repeated press/hold

engineer:-
"MOUSE5" Will quick swap to wrench, and will start swinging on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE4" Will quick swap to shotgun, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold
"KP 0" will select Sentry gun ready to build
"KP 1" will select dispenser ready to build
"KP 4" will select teleport entrance ready to build
"KP 7" will select teleport exit ready to build

medic:-
"MOUSE5" Will quick swap to needlegun, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE1" Will quick swap to healing ray, and will start healing on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE4" Will quick swap to bonesaw, and will start swinging on repeated press/hold

sniper:-
"MOUSE5" Will quick swap to machete, and will start swinging on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE1" Will quick swap to sniper rifle, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE4" Will quick swap to machine gun, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold

spy:-
"MOUSE4" Will quick swap to handgun, and will start shooting on repeated press/hold
"MOUSE5" Will quick swap to knife, and will start attacking on repeated press/hold, but will also redisguise upon release
"KP 1-9" will disguise as all classes in order of class selection
"KP 0" wil toggle the colour of your disguises

Awesome - I think I stole parts of the scripts you had on the NuB site, but it looks fuller than I remember. Only binds I think I run now is one that lets you change the medic loadout via function keys inside spawn.

Is it you that has the class announce bind (--> Soldier) - I really find that useful when others do it Smiley

Not seen commands for direct load out modifications.. but that could be a good next update Smiley

Yep its me that anounces class change like that (it auto does it as soon as you change class so not a bind as such as you dont have to press any key to announce) Smiley Forgot to add that in the feature list.... I'll edit my post Smiley

I'm not that keen on scripts, feels slightly dishonest with things like rocket/sticky jumping, spy redisguise, quick melee. That's just my opinion though, it's partly because I played NS a fair bit a while back where it's very much frowned upon by the community.

That said, you have a couple of clever things in there, like the jpeg screenshots and the talk speaker mute that I might have a quick look at. Smiley

Yes some people do frown upon it. 

The way I see it, valve installs the game with blank config scripts ready for you to modify.  If it was cheating valve would not have done this and instead be banning people via VAC.

And I don't think its that frowned upon in TF2... ^4K allow you to download their scripts from their website Wink

Anyway, if you prefer to play unscripted thats fair enough.  But yes there are some nice other features in my scripts which I hope help.

I don't frown upon scripts but won't use them for in-game "player" actions like sticky jump etc (I can do these without).

I can definitely see benefits for demo recording and other admin functions tbh.

Hmm the only 'scripts' i use are that i made a couple of macros in my razor driver so that the side mouse buttons disguise as pyro/demo/sniper as a spy.

Nice one, i had a crack at doing some scripts, but had a problem where when i'd change class i'd end up with messed up bindings from the previous class. Tried making a bind to return my bindings to default but its behavior remarkably resembled the F10 key.

tbh I've only put the pipe and sticky jumps in to complete the scripts.  It wouldnt be right leaving them out.  I myself do them manually.... just ask papa on my cornering jumps (you cant script them) Wink

The other admin helps such as demo record etc, n jpeg screenshots, and the mute while talking, were missing from the traditional scripts you find.  So these were the main reason along with quick weapon change scripts (soldier is much easier with a button for each weapon, run out of rockets... simply start instantly shooting shotgun)... all the other stuff is there for completion.  I didnt include engi quick build and spy quick disguises until version 2 when ppl asked for them lol
