I'm not sure why this game exists anymore. 3rd person shooter squad shooter is generally a terrible idea.
The original game with detective work and stuff was more interesting. The fanboys got what they wanted with enemy unknown (which is an awesome game) there was no reason to make this game so shitty, and the fanboys if they werent placated having got what they want would rip this game to pieces even more than the original design. Because generally fanboys actually just want a remake and nothing new.

I really like the design of the aliens in this one but other than that it just seems lackluster.

all in all its not a bad game just reminds me to much of mass effect, that and the story is one of the strangest ive ever played

Was also really weird the way they put the outsiders in enemy unknown with no explanation other than it ties into the other xcom game, and then to have this one come out way later. All the races in enemy unknown are tied into the story at the end except the outsiders who get swept under a rug as fast as possible after the first act.
I hope now this game is finally out we get some kindof expansion for enemy unknown that does some stuff with the outsiders.

it doesnt really explain the outsiders that much, they also very different from the outsiders in enemy unknown.
hopefully enemy within will have some answers
