I was actually starting to get the trick of closing in quickly against pikes etc. And yes, you could tell the players who knew what they were doing. They managed to block me and were much more controlled (not saying I was flailing madly, of course not!)

They're going to be selling helmets.....anyone getting a sense of deja vu  The other customisation is free. They've also put in some weapon fixes and stuff. We'll have to schedule another Chiv date! |

http://store.steampowered.com/app/241280/Already bought it, will report on the beta. Beta is in a terrible state and it still has the horrendous chiv netcode. But its pretty lol. Still a month to release but i'm slightly worried the netcode is just way too shit to cope and they need a new engine.

just play again a bit tonight. Really I think its quite a good expansion. Pretty funny to be a pirate (they have rum which you can drink for blurred vision and a combat buff). Its just joining a server with 30 ping in the browser gives me 180 in-game, which gets lower as more people quit. Seems a bit worse than the main game but the main game was never really smoothly playable.

I've been playing this a lot recently.
There was a huge patch last week and it's changed the balance a lot, IMO knights are basically useless, men at arms are OP and javelins are viable again.

I noticed it downloaded some 3GBs but didn't realise they were rebalancing stuff. To be fair, was there a time when men at arms were not considered op with the seemingly infinite stamina and jumping around? Although I have yet to manage a successful match as man at arms

If you get the expansion it gives you a choice of either MW or DW so not sure what that will do to server or player population. |
