Just that release has been pushed back cos it's no where near finished
That and one of the main developers who works on the map is still in jail in Greece.

Were those guys working on the DayZ standalone or just ARMA 3? I know that DayZ was an in-house mod, but I figured it was being done independantly now for the standalone (mostly because working on 2 games at the same time seems insane to me).

Honestly Berath, after all these setbacks and the general way that Dean posts on his blog, I don't think we're looking at a release date for at least another 5 months.

DayZ is now available on steam, providing you own ARMA II and AO (or combined ops).
However it currently installs version 1.7.4.4, instead of 1.7.5.1, so it might be worth waiting.

My server is now fully working and all that again. It actually has a few people logging in regularly.
Who actually has/plays DayZ still?
Was thinking it would be cool if we could get a bunch of people on at the same time, probably in groups of 4 or 5. I have wild visions of helicopter battles over cherno and old bicycle gangs cycling throgh the NW airfield.

According to PC Gamer they're looking at putting diseases into the game.
Up to 12 perhaps. I hope more. All would have different symptoms that you'd have to diagnose. Antibiotics would be available.
It'd be interesting if some were infectious. That could really affect dynamics in a group or you could take yourself off and deliberately infect rival groups if you could stop them guessing you were ill.
