Yeah, ridiculous fix really.
It was crashing as it tried to download my profile, so for whatever reason by downloading Tinker and retrieving my profile from there it then continued to work perfectly.
I really don't understand GFWL...

So, after initially dismissing it a lot because it only ran at 5fps on my laptop (I then found all the graphics settings and turned them wayyyyy down) and it looked like they'd ruined one of my favourite games from when I was a kid by crossing it with farmville & MMOs.
Well, I've been playing it for a few hours today and if you can see past the cartoony graphics - it's actually pretty similar to the original series.
Not done much exploration of the MMO/farmville side of things but it looks pretty harmless.
Now I'm past the tutorials and stuff it actually seems like it might be pretty reasonable.
I'm DeadlyHaddock on GFWL so feel free to add me and/or message me if you fancy some co-op or something.
