A 23 hr flight to Australia, for instance, could get to an extremely awkward start.

Then you don't use the service... its optional if you want to add your Linked-In/FB profile - those who want to network can, those who don't won't. Actually seems like a good idea to me - chance to sit next to someone interesting or also help decide who not to sit next to. |

Ah, if you can actually opt out and NOT have your FB linked, that isn't so bad.
Otherwise I can see visions of Mr/Ms Slimeball's oozing up to and checking out people.
(I'd be innundated if I opted in.....my FB profile is the same as my WDG avatar and who wouldn't want to sit next to a small white rabbit in a red plastic cup)
