Went to pizza hut last night with GF and kids, was just about to tuck in to my every so cheesy bites and one of the girls who worked there asked if i had a volvo......erm yes, well someone has just hit it outside and sped off!!

Luckily i drive a volvo v70 2.4T and its like a tank.  This 02 fiesta had smashed into the back of my car and she must have been going pretty quick as she moved the 12 tonne volvo forward 4 ft and my car dented the pizza hut sign good and proper lol 

Not much damage to my car, a load of scratches, paintwork off and 2 dents in the bumper.  A guy who was waiting for a pizza said that this woman smashed into my car, a bloke jumped into the fiesta and dragged the woman to the passenger seat and then he wheelspinned it away.  But as karma has it, i was told that the fiesta was in a bad way!!

Why can't people just be honest?  If the guy would have come in and said, look, sorry mate but i've just banged your car, then something could have been sorted out.......some people nowadays really get my goat in.

Yeah - is it worth looking around to see if there are any cameras about that might have seen it - if you know what time and that they're looking for a bashed up fiesta it should be fairly easy for them to find the car.

This tbh. Tis amazing how many people on the roads are driving without insurance (think it's something mental like 1 in 10). Problem is, with insurance being so expensive, it can work out cheaper to just take the risk.

Buy cheap car - don't get insurance - no excessive cash spent.
If you are caught, you get a small fine (ike £80) and as of fairly recently, they can seize your car (used to be just the fine and a "producer", which seems mental) and impound it till you can prove you have insurance and come pay to pick it up. Well, in which case people don't pick it up, and just buy another shite car, still all working out cheaper than buying insurance.

Ah i checked for cameras straight away, there was one, but at the end of the day, they prob didnt have insurance and was told that their car was pretty mashed at the front yet the tank of a volvo has a few holes in the bumper and thats it.

Karma will pay em back faster than any PC Plod that doesnt want to know unless you're speeding.

Ouch...........i got collared with an mot which was 4 days out of date about 4 years ago, they impounded an old v40 i had which probably would have cost alot to pass it through its MOT so i told em to keep the car

Ouch. With 6 points on your license you'll probably be paying out around £5000 in increased premiums over the years.

I had a speeding fine back when I was 18 (50MPH camera at the END of some workerless motorway roadworks, blatant money grab, I was raging). The £60 is nothing but it cost me thousands in increased premiums until it came off my license, and even then I had to change to an insurance provider I hadn't used before to get a decent rate (even though it comes off your license, any insurer you've used before keeps it on their records and screws you for it)

I'd sympathize but I'm a terrible driver and that sounds like something I'd do. Lucky for you I don't own a Fiesta.
