Hey guys!

I hope someone can help me  
I have a beautiful and small HP Mini 110 for some months now. And right from the beginning I had the problem, that the battery won't charge completely. I let it charge over night and it charges up to 48 % at most and the display just says, that the cable is connected but it is not charging.

So I don't think it is broken, because it does charge, but it just stops after a while.. do you think it could be a settings problem? I already checked the energy-saving-options but I couldn't find anything there...
Does someone have an idea?

Have you tried completely discharging / charging the battery (by allowing it to completely run out of power and then charging it up with the laptop off) a few times?

In the battery settings in control panel there is a battery monitor that gives you information about the battery etc. - does it say anything interesting/different in there?

Failing that, it sounds like the battery might be faulty or it's reporting an incorrect reading for the amount of charge it has.

Does the battery last as long as it should, or does it only last half as long?

I can't find it It is Windows 7 starter and and I only have energy-options here where it lets me change the energy-saving-options

Otherwise, you probably have a bad battery. Seeing as its only a couple of months old, the warranty is still in effect right ? (I wouldn't take any chances and ask for a new one. However, you'll probably lose it for a week, as support desks are downright slow)

So I talked to HP and he really tried to help But unfortunately the notebook refused to let its battery checked. After a BIOS update it now can be charged up to 53 % yaaay.

Well he will send a new battery Will be here within 10-15 days as it will be sent from england. So yay I don't need to send away my notebook.

The lithium-ion battery life is often about half a year due to your continuous use. As a result, your battery is aging if it not caused by the quality. Or you may try to recalibrate your battery. On the other hand, it is probably that your charger is poorly contacted to the charging slot, you'd better give a check. Good luck.
