Finished it, after 27 hours of playtime and every sidemission and whatsoever completed. My nonspoilerthoughts: Best Mass Effect out of the 3. I know theyve made the combat into something completely else from 1 but thats what I wanted anyway so I was very happy that this felt even more shooter-y than the second one (atleast it does when you play a Soldier like I did, the other classes still provide a good set of skills that you will need to use to get through this, the difficulty is amped up alot!). I also hoped for alot of conclusions related to the lore and, without saying too much, the game delivered without feeling like a pure fanservice. And I liked the way it ended.

I just checked some Youtube videos on the endings. Apparently everyone hates them? Wut, well Im sure Ill receive flag for it sometime here soon then, I chose

The Synthesis ending (thats not even the best one you can get), I saw it the most fitting to my character who was always willing to sacrifice. I can see people being angry about the game just kinda ending there without explaining much more, but I dont think it needed that. It ended where Shepards story ended (story in the literal sense, youll see why that is after the credits have roled).

I hope everyone that will start tomorrow when this actually comes out in the EU or whenever getting it will enjoy it as much as I did, that was a fucking good Shooter-RPG.

Oh concerning this; rant time:

Im sorry I have nothing against gays in videogames but this game made such a big deal about being gay and whatnot. That Cortez guy from the video might be the most uninteresting character Ive ever seen in any Mass Effect game besides this Jersey Shore dude whose name I dont even care to remember (I think its BUFF HAMSTEEL). Basically I can summarize this guys character in one sentence:

HEY COMMANDER MY WIFE, AND ITS NOT A WIFE ITS A HUSBAND, DIED AND I REALLY FEEL GUILTY FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM, NOT HER, HIM, SO COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME GET OVER HIM, NOT HER, HIM.

Every conversation you have with him, every normal topic you want to talk about with him turns into sexual innuendo and flirting, if you refuse that youre interested in men, its actually a renegade option, Im not joking...

Bioware needs to stop with that. I dont have a problem with having gay people in a videogame, but please dont make such a big deal about it, just let them be there. Fallout New Vegas did it right. But the way Bioware made this character was so pathetic. Everyone that pledges for games to stop being so homophobic should be offended by this.

Started playing Mass Effect 3. Got 5 minutes into it and couldn't bare to not play with my savegame and couldn't remember wtf was going on so I'm going to replay ME1 + ME2 before starting ME3. Wish I had the foresight to do this like a month ago

Im trying to play ME1, but it keeps crashing think I need to revert to an older set of drivers

It's OK for me - I keep getting random glitches like ending up standing on top of an elevator instead of inside it.

Also - replaying ME1, the damn Mako is frustrating as hell. I didn't mind it first time around, but when you're just trying to get through the story and replay it etc.

Yeah this is all the problems I've ever had with it.

Mako handled like arse but I didn't see it as that much of a huge problem like everyone talks about.
