Cleaning RAM probably means it's defragging it, usually that should only take like 10 seconds. You can get dedicated programs to defrag RAM anyway and really, it doesn't need to be used all the time when you start a game up. I'm not sure what they think they mean, but defragging RAM makes almost no sense as a concept, so when they claim stuff like that I just think . Yes, claws is grumpy today

I got my own self written powa.bat on my desktop Also, Vista and 7 automatically defragment your drives every week, no need to do it yourself.

Defragmenting is overrated in the first place. It shouldn't affect your FPS anyway

It still affects your PC in a number of ways. It's still worth just keeping it on defragging overnight once a month or two.

Absolutely defrag ! Makes the loading of images (if you don't have 20GB of memory to put the entire game into as the games starts) and sounds and stuff faster
The first thing I do with a fresh reinstall (still on XP)... stop all services (printing, bluetooth, etc), make gui for best performance etc.
Not sure I would trust an app to make it better though lol

I used to launch that software everytime on my old PC. It's safe. But if you use it on a good comp you won't see much difference.

Sounds like a load of old nonsense to be honest.
"cleaning RAM, and intensifying processor performance"...what does that even mean?
Agree. Apart from not being very clear to me what it thinks it's doing... If something sounds too good to be true then it normally is.. and this software is free. I suspect you may get lots of unwanted extras that will eventually lead / nag you to buy something.

No, it's completely legit, I used it for a while some time back. It's just not very useful if your PC is already fast, but it helps with slow PCs if you don't know how to speed them up. Basically, it turns off processes that aren't vital to the OS thus freeing RAM and CPU ressources. Don't know what they mean by "defragging" RAM, but it has a neat animation for that. Basically worth a try if your PC is a mess, but for that I'd recommend CCCleaner or even better TuneUp Utilities.

Yes CCleaner is good, but only really helps to clean up unwanted crap, but I don't think I'd describe it as an optimiser except in the sense that cleaning the registry and purging temp files may speed up your PC a little bit (I know that Power didn't describe it as an optimiser - was just stating the fact in case anyone assumed that it was).

The only thing that I think that things like RAM defraggers do is to try and minimise the amount of ram that is being used by the OS/idle programs and force them to the page file so there's more memory available for your application.
