Na it keys off X killed the HHH event not the achievement tea. The drop rates on metal are really low, unfortunately Hzza is right about having to farm him. But he only appears 1-2 times per map, he spawns on an active CP and generally either on point A and C or point B and fucks up everyone near it. So pretty much you have to kill him to cap the point. The gift is a bit more random, but its so random in position you really cant run around looking for it, i've tried.

i dont see the issue then in regards to farming.

Got 4 masks so far today. I just spectate when the random gift is about to spawn and therefore have a better chance of finding it.

"Currently stickies from the Sticky Jumper still cause damage to opponents" "The ammo count is doubled on the pipe launcher, not the sticky launcher." "Pipes cause no self damage when the Sticky Jumper is equipped." :< clap clap valve, the sticky jumper is currently a megaweapon, as if demomen didnt already annoy

It seems to like spawning just before HHH, just after, or for funzies at the same time. I think he means though speccing, finding it, spawning scout and running.

wow thats just awful. I know last night an admin put cheats on a server dodgy was in just so he could no clip to the gift. Valve it seems did not bother protecting the event stuff, so I dunno I'm almost expecting an achievement server that just spams them

Why not do what so many other do and setup a passworded server with Manor and let's take turns on the gifts. There're usually 2 or 3 per round, so with 10-15 people each can have one within an hour.

Wow... does this NOT sound like my favourite game. Maybe it's for the best that I can't play currently.

...must...resist...snippy remark...
So, general impressions on the new maps? Truth to be told I've only looked at Manor Event yet, and with all the "event"-action going on it's hard to judge how it would play under normal circumstances.
