Since increasing my graphic settings, the cart doesn't glow for me anymore (I checked the setting).
I seem to remember that it has something to do with anti-aliasing and ATI, but I can't find the fix anymore...
Halp?

My fps is limited by the refresh-rate at the moment  And I feel the glow to be pretty darn important, especially on the new maps, uhhh thundermountain? |

disable v-sync, most servers use update rate of 66, if you're only using 60fps, you get bad reg..
not that it matters to you, you do alright anyways

Never understand why people say disable vsync, doesn't that give you horrible tearing?

Tearing tends to go away if you set a maximum FPS anyway.

Might require restart of TF2
And I might offer once more a toggle for the outline:
alias glow_outline "incrementvar glow_outline_effect_enable 0 1 1"
bind <your_key> glow_outline

Glow or AA is an easy decision to be honest. Also I can't enable vsync Brahms as I run in windowed mode with noborder so alt+tab will work.

There's something about this in Chris' FPS config notes. He says that glow effects are something to do with directX levels or launch options or something. Go have a read.

Only if your graphics card can't refresh quickly enough. If your FPS is really high anyway - you won't get the tearing as I understand it. |

I thought the tearing was due to the high speed of refresh, thus Vsync keeps the FPS locked to your monitor's refresh rate, when you go higher you get tearing because of the persistence of LCDs?
