Looks like you're on Virgin, Where do you live? https://my.virginmedia.com/service-status/detailsCheck for network issues in your area. If nothing shows up it's probably just that your UBR is oversubscribed and you're fucked until Virgin expand network capacity.

Someone has had a look at it, apparently it is the jump between the box and the router that is the problem, so hopefully getting a new one should sort it out...

The guy did a trace route I believe, and there was no problems when he connected straight to the "internet boX" (don't know the proper name  )
