I applied to join the WDG last week sometime (thanks for the welcome) and was told, quite rightly that to be considered for membership I would need a Headset.

I immediately logged onto ebay and ordered a Labtec Headset (from pc arena bristol) and sat one of my kids by the letterbox for 2 days.  When it didn't arrive I investigated and to my horror realized that I hadn't updated my card details and an echeque had been send that would take about a week to clear.

Th echeque cleared Monday, the headset was duly marked as payed for and dispatched, everything was good with the world.

THE HEADSET IS STILL NOT HERE

I am pissed off, the suppliers have been contacted, I await their response so I have no one to blame - yet.

Good luck with chasing it up. I hope the kids have been allowed to stand-down from the letter box from time to time?

Looks like the Post Office are to blame, I'm also missing my car insurance renewal documents that were sent the same day.

PC Arena sent me a nice helpful email.  Only problem is I have to wait 14 days from the posting date to file a missing letter report.  If it doesn't arrive today I'm reordering the headset.

Kids are stood down from letterbox - for the moment.

I had a problem with overclockers.co.uk went in the shop and purchased a board, it was fecked, paid to send it back via RMA and then they were refusing to send a new one back as I had purchased it from a shop.  They were really rude to me on the phone as well!  I nearly drove 100 miles to their shop and shoved a couple of stickies up their arses, right click!  After waiting 3 weeks, countless emails that they replied shitty to, I threatened them with my solicitor, trading standards and writing to all the computer mags and forums i could think off.

They sent me a replacement board and a very sarcastic email the tossers.

My kid lost the will to live waiting by the letterbox for mine.

Ever since I ran my computer shop/internet cafe (in 1998 for 6 months, not one of my finest moments) I've been using http://www.cclonline.com/.  Never really had a problem with them and their prices are pretty competitive.

well i usually use ebuyer.com you cant usually knock their prices but this board in OCs was a couple of quid cheaper, wish i hadnt of bothered now.  will go take a look at the link.  cheers

Hmm I was gonna say...I've ordered quite a bit from overclockers and never had a problem with them. I also use Stak trading (www.stak.com?) they are company based quite close to me and they really know thier stuff

yeh, if it works then no probs, i've bought lots of gear of them over the years but they really took the piss big style!  oooooo i was so annoyed I was gonna blitzkrieg them with my sheep harem!

Shocked tbh, never had a problem with OCUK before - even with RMA!!!

Will watch out in future.

E-buyer are excellent (RMA stuff too). Stak were dodgy a while back but seem to have recovered.

Have re-ordered headset, to be delivered to my work.  The international conspiracy against me speaking in TF2 will not succeed.

Had a word with the undelivered items guy at the Post Office.  He was suspiciously helpful.  So far everyone I have spoken to has been very helpful without actually being any help at all.

I lost a £30 hoodie because of the post office. I ordered one just before the strike. I wasn't in so it was supposed to get sent back to the sender, who I emailed and was assured it would be re-sent, with no charge, they never got it, due to the strike. :@

I ordered a headset a couple of months back from amazon, 3 weeks later it was nowhere to be seen, so I emailed amazon and they said they'd send me a replacement. The replacement arrived about a week later, and then 2 weeks after that the original showed up
