The forest has been successfully restored and is now about 4 times larger thanks to a billion enormous trees sprouting up.

On a related begging note, I need sand to make glass for my new build, about 3000 blocks, digging it up from the sea bed is slow work, so if anyone has any spare

The colossus is beyond the holiday resort, don't worry. I like the resort, I wouldn't build on top of it!

It seems like the minecraft server still has a habit of using ridiculous amounts of CPU usage. If it continues to be a problem and I can't be bothered with it then it'll have to shut down until an update fixes the issue.

that pretty much makes my first way station pointless, but i do want to know what happens to minecarts sent by themselves that exit your chunk, do they freak out or can it handle that? i suppose i should twitter notch or something, i dont have an account though, could someone ask him what happens to carts exiting the loaded chunk, and also if he could put in some kindof of start gate pretty please, or just make it so doors can function as a start gate.

It'll most likely render the world as if you are walking, although it may render scenery infront of the direction your facing to act as a "buffer" of sorts so the game doesn't have to work as hard to keep up.

EDIT:

Bit annoyed that the most frustrating bug Notch hasn't even started trying to fix yet:

Minecart/Boat thing I can live "broken" for the while, it's just annoying when I want to extend you bridge somewhere when I try and pick up some logs and place the planks on the bridge that they'll disappear or reappear as if I never did anything in the first place. Still, I'll probably now make some headway on a substation near Rapture -- I'll talk to you Dibble about where I want to put it so it doesn't interfere too much with Rapture.
