30-40 work on the larger maps of the original and expansion. it can maybe work on cod2 but defiantly not anything after. its a shame that cod had to go from being both a great deathmatch game and a large battle game to just a wank spamfest game

If you want large battles, go play battlefield. The maps in the newer cods arent as big as in the old ones (with the exception of World At War). Even 18 players is a big clusterf*ck in Ground War on mw2 and the maps in Blops will probably be the same size.

18 is about right for MW2. Anywhere from 12-40 was about right for the original CoD, because the maps were bigger and more open. I played on 64 man servers on UO that were great fun, but then that game was bordering on Battlefield anyway.

Still, I was expecting a bit more from Treyarch. They've always been Infinity Ward's plain looking little sister who's often more fun to be around despite a lack of polish, but looks like they've finally been dragged into copying the small scale modern stuff that's a bit new to them.

I'm less annoyed with the player limits (whatever works for the game, nobody wants a 16 player alien swarm match), but the fact that they limit it down to one host.

(Though I have to admit the price seems fair, but I'm no expert on server prices.)

One server provider isn't enough for a fair market, but one of my cod4 gripes (I only had a few for 4 honest) was getting kicked by some random admin because I hadn't read his long list of perks he was fed up of being killed by. I approve of locked configs for ranked mode.

It worked when I first posted it; you have to put one it, refresh your order, put the other one in and refresh your order again. Or something like that, I can't remember, but yeah, for £25 it has to be done really.

yeah apparently the 5 off was for the 1st 5000 people to use it so it must be over now. Ill keep a hunt on for it i still have over a month to find it cheap. the 15% still works though.
