Oh yeah, forgot about this. Me and Burny called it the other day, 80% of people will be using the Joker facepaint and there will be a meme/webcomic/Steam group mocking them inside a week of the games release.

Doubt it to be honest; I think I just got lucky with that Tesco's deal. Although saying that, they do usually have some kind of deal around this time of year where you can get 2 AAA new releases for £40 odd, can't remember the specifics but I can remember around this time last year you could get Borderlands and MW2 for £40ish around release time.

Sounds like that was a pretty bad deal though, Hz...
What's the specs meant to be like on this anyway? Is it still MW1 engine? Is it me or have system specs been stagnating a bit lately? I remember hearing that noone was going to make anything better looking than Crysis for a while, because it's just not practical to make a game that detailed.X

Well, thats well over 400 close to 700 horus of gameplay (for me) for £40, pretty good deal imo. And that was an example, it was any 2 new releases at the time. As for the engine; Game engine
The game runs on an enhanced World at War engine (which itself was improved from Call of Duty 4's) at 60 frames per second on consoles.[38] It features a streaming texture technology (also seen in Modern Warfare 2), making bigger levels possible such as "Payback" where the player controls a helicopter. Lighting effects have been improved as well.[39]
Call of Duty: Black Ops will support 3-D imaging rendered by the engine itself.[40] However, the required hardware for this feature will depend on the platform (except the Wii which does not support it).[41]
