Lets not take melee kills too far, in the past, people had been kicked for constant melee (ie not even trying to play properly)
.......This was my thoughts when I saw this thread. Especially when this is also posted..... This thread explains why I had so many suicidal soldiers running towards me with a spade the other day.

I don't see a problem.
I haven't seen Soldiers who only carry the spade around and thats not the idea of this thread anyways.
It's about seeing the opportunity and make something out of it.
IF we will see that it breaks the game you can close this thread and stop it.

Yeah agreed. Most of the time, the spade (at least on me) has been quite effective. It's not as if the sollies think when they see you "Ima melee that sonofabitch", it's just when you're in a tight spot and a smart solly like Ringel or Matinée or Brahmsy or Lazzy or someone thinks "Aha! Spade o'clock!" Especially effective if they know you're on low health anyway.  |

After many people telling me I should post my spade killings on the forum I decided I should give it a go. Unfortunately because I havent started from the beginning I have built up 14 different images of spadings. So dont open them all at once.Also im new to this posting images thing so bear with me if I cock it up. Sorry these took so long to post it took me a while to change the files from .tga to .vtf to .jpg all of that may have not been needed so if you know a quicker way please tell me. Also a big thank you to DeadlyAvenger for fixing my registration mistake |

Quick way is to bind a key to the command "jpeg". That just takes a screenshot as a jpeg right off the bat. |

Pretty sure JammyJim wields a coward stick, that's the kind of fate that can befall you when you do.
I have succumed to peer pressure, so now I use the spade on the WDG server. It's fine enough for meleeing, but I'm having to get used to the lack of a speed boost for running away when caught in the open (which is why I think the coward stick nickname is entirely justified). And to put scrogs pic in context, it was a 2 on 1 melee fight. I then respawned and jumped on his head and spaded him to death |
