I honestly think ripsaw could make a fantastic TF2 commentator, Like seriously, fuck Byte, especially at his FUCKING APPALLING commentary at i40. I realise it's not an easy task, but I dont want to sit there listening to a guy who was knocked out of the tournament saying "What are they doing? this is so poor, I would have done this" and giving away spy and ninja tactics. I want to hear enthusiastic commmentary about what is happening!!

Seriously, Rippy needs to get into the voice acting business. This is brilliant!
You could've even lowered the volume of the non-voice audio tracks a bit more for your speech to be even more prominently featured.

Thanks people. I'll be honest, I do enjoy this kind of thing. Media was one of the things I really enjoyed at GCSE level. I just didn't know what to do with it at the time. I think I wanted to be an airline pilot. But they have to be clever people, so that idear fell on it's face quickly.
The sound levels do need adjusting. The bot match was monster loud in it's original format. As were the TF2 sound files. But the chunks that made up the rest of the comentry were quiet. So I probably had the level too low. So a +6DB on the naration and as much as a -7DB on the game and sound effects sound files. I know I can take it as far as -12DB.
It was also 4 hours befor I discovered that I could change the scale on the time line. So I should be able to move some of the elements forward or backward in time with a lot more acuracy. As one or two do clash slightly. The Demo man rant was an example. Till I realised I could move his speach and beltch to the end of that particular chunk of naration.
All in all I'm rather chuffed with Nero Multimedia suite. I didn't realise it comprised of so manny programs. So I'll deffinatly have to have a tinker with it. Especially as I'm now on holiday for an extraordinay length of time.

PS: Just listen back with a head full of tea. Found a bit of a boo boo at 41 seconds. In the rough version I already had start siren noise in the time line. Originally and foolishly I thought I would be able to populate the entire time line with individual sound files. Thank Betsy I went for the lazy option of just record the bots. However, the bulk bot battle anouncer lady doesn't quite line up. i think I got my maths a little wrong and cropped a bit to much of the sound file. All part of the learning process. Note to self: Use more Garage Band, is good fun  |

Yes, I agree, your commentary could be a bit louder, it sometimes get drowned in the background noise.
Also second the notion you should do something like this more often. You're a natural.
