While we're at server 1:
Am I the only one thinking that for most maps 2 rounds is enough?
It really depends, I think. Like on Badwater, sometimes it's a Steamroll followed by a first-point defence, at which point it's time to scramble the teams and retry the map, rather than just move onto a new one. If it's two nice, balanced rounds then you're probably right.
Okay, but sometimes one team simply gets dominated or even steamrolled two times and the third round is simply no more fun. I may remind you that these days we don't scramble that often.
But also if teams are balanced that can result in quite lengthy games, so by the time the third round starts you have already spent a lot of time on that map.
Well, just an idea.
As for maps in rotation:
We always vote a lot, so it's usually within our hands which maps we play. I agree that Egypt would be no loss, but other than that I would say leave the rest in.
What sometimes bug me is that the map selection to vote is sometimes a choice between pest and cholera, but on the other hand perhaps that's still a good thing cause otherwise we would probably play the same three maps over and over again ...
But also: Fewer rounds would mean even bad maps are over more quickly

BTW: I think there's still the option to extend map, right?
