I see summer lightning quite a lot in local pubs and Morrisons usually has the bottled stuff, it's rather nice, even nicer in a sunny pub garden I havent tried any of the other Hopback Brewery ones.

For a minute I thought Oakham Ale might have something to do with Oakham ( town near where I live).

I'ma jump in now we're just appreciating ale xD The one I find myself drinking most atm is Bishop's NTipple. Mostly because we keep going to the same pub and I haven't been in the mood to try something else. Found this the other day, I remember them all being quite nice, some good high %s as well. (can't direct link, you're looking at Marstons Head Brewers Choice.) Wait, I've got it ... prepare yourself ...

My local supermarket have a 4 bottled ales for £5.50 dealio I usually go for when I'm drinking in, and though I've tried to get through them all, I keep going back to Batemans victory ale and also the Wychwood brewery stuff is always good. I think I've sampled a few of those Marston's and yes they are strong

Seconded on Wychwood. I like Greengoblin (cider) as well, can only ever find Hobgoblin though.

Love ale, especially like the banana bread beer Old empire is also a favourite.

That. Real ale is for old men with beards and overhanging guts.
