[Junta]

There is no easy way for me to announce this, so I'm going to come straight out with it.

I'm making this post to tell you all that I will shortly be stepping down from WDG clan and moving into the ranks of the regulars.

It has been fantastic to have been a part of this community and one of the leaders of this clan. I am proud of all that we've done together here, and the people have really made it happen for me. I have enjoyed myself immensely and will continue to be a visitor to the forum and the server (as much as I can and my spare time allows).

This is not the end of the clan and I won't be staying away from the server. It is however a rest from clan life while I devote some of my time into other things for a while. After 2 years I need a break from clan leadership but I am sincere when I say that this is not because of any issues, problems or people. I <3 you all.

I ask you all to give the leadership and admins your support - they are some of the finest friends that I have made, and they deserve your help in keeping things going and running smoothly. I thank the co-leaders for keeping me on the straight and narrow, and I honestly could not have done this without your ceaseless effort, guidance and hard work. You guys were never in the spotlight and you did your work in the background - a thankless task and you should take a bow. It would have been impossible without you.

The same goes for the clan members and the regs. It has been great, and I look back on a growing cast of contributors who made gaming so funny and challenging at the same time. It will be a long time before I stop projecting Ripsaw's voice when I read his posts, and in game on a Friday night.

This is a crying shame mate, you've been an incredible credit to the clan. I've had my ups and downs with TF2, hence my wavering time on the server, but I can't remember a single game with you on my team that wasn't worth playing, you're a fantastic team player and leader.

Wow, don't really know what to say. Although I've left the clan, I mean no disrespect to the rest of the leaders when I say Junta was the main reason I joined in the first place. You've done a terrific job here and I think you can really be proud of the community you've helped to build. We don't say thanks enough - many thanks for all the work you've put in!

(Aside from all that, he's a genuinely top bloke too.)

As others have said, what you've been a driving force in creating here is a fantastic community. I for one haven't ever come across anything better games-wise than WDG and its T-Regs.
You're a fantastic leader, player and general bloke, I know we'll be seeing you around a fair bit, but you're leaving a big, heavy-shaped hole in our WDG.

Well John you already know my feelings on this and I have to say that it's a very sad day indeed. You have done so much for this clan since inception, and certainly since I became a leader I truly understood just how much you do, and have done for this clan.

You are a great friend to me and it's a shame that considering how long we've known each other indirectly that we are only going to get to meet each other at i40 for the first time (which I'm really excited about).

Obviously it is a sad day for the clan - but rest assured that we'll keep this clan going from strength to strength as it has done for the last 2 years and long may it continue.

Unfortunately...just as the T-Regs is a valid recruiting mechanism for WDG...apparently the T-Regs are now forced to steal members from us to try and keep their current track record.
