PC is still a gay and crashes alot. Ran Memtest86+ for a while but not really sure what to make of the results so thought I'd post them here and see if anyone can give me a diagnosis, House style:

Tbh though, surely that fact in that time I got over 3000 errors would mean there's obviously something wrong

Are you overclocking? Can you borrow ram from anyone, cos that looks baaad.

Try testing your ram sticks individually. If they all suck, its a motherboard issue, maybe overheating northbridge.

Value ram throws up a lot of errors with memtest and thats why its cheap ram, that said i dont think my value ram quite managed 1000 errors per hour :/. I can't really comment though because I have no idea what it all means, appart from something vague like the earlier tests are the basic ones that you really dont want to fail, and generally its the later tests that trip up value ram

Will do the other tests later tonight, having said that though, I borrowed some RAM sticks from Junta a while ago and still had crash issues when using them, so it's likely to be a motherboard issue =/

one more thing you could do is note down the places (MB) where the errors occur, restart the system and see, if the errors repeat on the same places. You could also combine that with a little push on the north bridge chip/heat sink when you restart the system (note, for that you need to power it off) and again compare the results.

Yep, the fact that it produces errors after such a short time means sth. is buggered. Go with the suggestion of performing more detailed tests. If you stay error free for 24h then your usually good (theres still a slim chance sth. might still be amiss, but most often it's not).

Also you may try loading bios defaults to avoid any overrides messing things up. (Overclocked testing is a big no-no!)
