How many a week are you moving from. If you were smoking fairly regularly before I wouldn't go for completely quitting just yet, just keep reducing steadily. Its pretty much impossible to go from a lot to nothing in one go and then you just feel like a failure.

I wish I could motivate you and help. I could say some stuff from family experience, but I don't want to depress you. Needless to say that my dad still smokes after all these years and I see it taking a heavy toll on him every time I visit him. Stop now if you can mate, it's a cruel habit that just gets harder to break the older you are.

What I can say is that my mum managed to quit after 30 years of smoking, she simply stopped. Food tasted better apparently and although it wasn't easy she felt the better for it and I was dead proud.

Maybe you need a nagging little one... like I managed to convince my dad to stop. I was, like, 5 years old at the time. Tongue

Also -- had a crappy evening yesterday. Managed to eat something that apparently triggered my food allergies, thankfully I noticed it soon enough to pop the relevant pills. Unfortunately two histamine-blockers and two croticoids make you drowsy as hell, so I couldn't attend the FragFest. Sad

I'm all better now, though. Smiley

Yeah, my dad quit cold turkey, after his dad died from lung cancer (from smoking). My mum was pregnant around the same time with first child so he had extra motivation there.

My big brother smokes though and it's taken a huge toll on him. Waking up to his coughs in the morning was enough to put me off smoking whilst growing up.
