Steam is no longer displaying any text in the windows Example #1Example #2I'm guessing it could probably be fixed by re-installing, but I want to try to avoid that because I have ~160Gb of files to back up. |

Didn't work  It stopped steam from running at all so I've put the old ones back. |

Update IE? Even if you don't use it it sometimes buggers things up if you're not up to date.

The IE part of steam works, so I can see the store, community page etc, just no text on the buttons or anything.

You can repair the install in Add/Remove programs rather then removing everything and starting from scratch. Try that first!

Ok, fixed. The solution was in the steam support knowledgebase all along, should have started there first really. |

If you have system restore disabled like suggested, turn it on again, it's very, very useful.
