I so wanted to get Ghostbusters. But then I remembered Yahtzee's review...

If you read the extra punctuations the cheeky bastard didn't even finish ghostbusters, and he admitted it grew on him after the review. I bum yahtzee but he can be somewhat lacking in professional integrity at times. I will dig out the link sometime later.

I don't think he finishes most of the games he reviews.

I dunno how many he does and doesnt I was under the impression he finishes most but the most awful. You should always try though, in yahtzees case maybe he might find some more reserves of bile after forcing himself to the end and wishing for his hours of life back, but its his job and he gets paid so he can shut up and make me some more funny animations.

rip its 5 pounds right now i paid 7. The price is right. Some of the lines are awful like he says just block out the crappy moments and some of the jokes are good. But yeah at the end of the day the only reason to buy this is to roleplay a ghostbuster. Also you get a lot more new locations/ghosts etc late in the game as well as upgrades that reduce the rigmorole of trapping, and a lot of stuff you don't trap.

Don't do that! His thing is saying bad stuff about games. Look through his list. If you takes his reviews seriously, you nearly can't play anything anymore.
I played Ghostbusters and while it ain't very good, it is decent and worth the little money it costs now IMHO. It really picks up later on, somehow I felt even the characters got better later on, though I still don't understand why you simply don't pick one of the 4 at the beginning instead of bringing in a 5th silent ghostbuster

And I would also like to play a space flight shooter again, like X-Wing/Tie-Fighter or Wing Commander. Any recommandations? Is X2/X3 anything like that or is it more of a mission/trading/upgrading game with some occasional fights?

there is also a mod that has redone all the textures for deus ex. not sure if you can use that with the steam version though. certainly worth a play if you haven't tried it before

If you're bored of Deus Ex try the Malkavian Mod for a while. It'll make you either a) confused, b) look the game's plot look fairly good by comparison and c) laugh your head off if you're anything like me. Probably all 3.

Deus Ex is still excellent today (not finished it myself, nice reminder - I've got a save half way through) - the first part is actually very boring, once it opens up and the game allows you to do more then "die if you fight anyone" it is really fun, even if dated.

I'm still wary of buying anything on Steam however, I brought Overlord 1 and 2 on it though, but I prefer to find it cheap on a non-steam way, because I'm like that
